Ugh, I had so many issues with this one. Harris was trying to cram too many stories into this one book in my opinion. Either that, or it could have been 100 pages longer to adequately get
every storyline completely told.
I really felt like it was just a big old book of filler, you know? The Weres coming out was the biggest thing and thats the beginning! and then it just got too wordy and there were a couple
of vague interesting things like sookie and erics "bonding" or whatever the F the knife means, and More about sookies fairy heritage, but it just fizzled out.
I cannot be the only one who wishes Bill was out of the picture for good, as in , go away sookie is better off without you. I sure as hell hope that Harris doesnt come full circle and have
Sookie and Bill end up together in the final book, because I will be royally pissed, I mean she is better off with Quinn or Alcide more than Bill!!!
So is the next book coming out in Fall the final one of the series?
I really fell in love with the chemistry between Bill and Sookie on the show, but it's not as apparent in the books, and I kind of wish Bill would sort of go away too. He just has nothing to
offer her anymore. I love the storyline of Eric and Sookie together, so hopefully she will continue on with that.
Eric is so much better suited for Sookie.Bill is so blah.I haven't heard anything about the final book yet.I know that normally every May she brings out a new one.My friend told me the one in
May is like a compilation book of short Sookie stories.I'm just not sure cause Harris hasnt said how long the series is going to.If she has I havent heard about it.
Also, I thought it was kind of lame the way the "ended" things with Quinn and Sookie too. I thought he was right when he said that she treats him differently than other guys in the books that
have been jerks to her. I liked him with her too, almost more than Eric because at least she would have some sort of future with Quinn, you know?
Very true. The prob I have with Quinn is all the baggage.I understand his mom and sis need him but he would never be around and thats no way for a relationship to start you know? The odds were
against those two from the beginning.
I agree it wasn't the best book, but I still liked it. I still love Bill and miss him in the books. Eric is great and all but I still don't feel like there can be anything substantial there
with them. I was hoping for more about Hunter too.
on a side note, anyone looking for a good series, the Nighthuntress series by Jeaninne Frost is Sooo good! I LOVED it!
You sound just like me. Someone was asking me how this series is different than Twilight, and I told them it was just like Twilight, only much smuttier, which I love!
I am re-reading "From Dead to Worse" right now, and the part where Alcide takes over as packmaster really grossed me out and put me off him for some reason.
haven't read it- always looking for good reads! thxs!
1Loved it too.But the ending was a bit cryptic!!

Really, how can there be anything substantial with a vampire in the long run? Sookie really needs to find a warm blooded man......like alcide!
Quinn has too much baggage, his family will always come before sookie and thats not a good thing.
12I think Alcide AND Quinn both have way too much baggage for her. Maybe she should just shack up with Sam.
13Okay ashley, I will agree. But she should for sure see how Alcide is in the sack, before she settles down with Sam!

Its nothing like twilight! if someone asked me that I would say "trueblood is to twilight what a good martini is to a shirley temple"
16That's a very good way to put it!
